Aus dem Italienischen übersetzt von Thomas Frauenlob, Johann Hintermaier, Norbert Hofmann, Thomas Lutzi und Jürgen Vorndran
 Wortstimme:Einstmals als die Menschen anfingen, sich zu mehren auf der Oberfläche der Erde,
und ihnen Töchter geboren wurden, da sahen die Gotteswesen,
daß die Töchter der Menschen schön waren, und sie nahmen sich
als Frauen diejenigen, die sie sich erwählt hatten.
Da sprach JHWH: „Mein Geist soll nicht immer mit dem Menschen bleiben [?],
da er ja Fleisch ist. So sollen denn seine Lebensjahre 120 Jahre sein."
In jenen Tagen waren die Riesen auf Erden, und auch noch nachher,
da die Gotteswesen zu den Töchtern der Menschen kamen und sie ihnen Kinder gebaren.
Dies sind die Heroen, die in der Urzeit berühmte Männer waren.

’Seek good and not evil if you want to live:
only thus will YHWH, the God of hosts, be with you as you claim!
Hate evil, love good, make justice prevail in the court,
so that YHWH, the God of hosts, may have pity on the "remnant" of Joseph!'
Therefore thus says YHWH, the God of hosts, the Lord:
'In all the squares there shall be a lamenting,
in all the strees they shall call "Alas, alas!"
They shall finally call to mourning those who labour,
to the funeral lament the experts of lamenting.
Finally in the vineyards lamentation shall prevail,
when I pass through the midst of you', says the Lord.
He, who has made the Pleiades and the Orion,
and turns the deepest darkness into morning,
darkens the day into night,
calls the waters of the sea, to pour them out on the surface of the earth,
YHWH is his name.
